OK, so here it is: 11 a.m. on a gorgeous Sunday morning.

I am sitting at one computer, making puzzles and quizzes for my U.S. History and World History classes.

My wife is at the kitchen table, grading papers from her class.

Niki is in the back room, sitting at her new homework table, figuring our phrases in German.

We are just such a fun group!

Well, we'll get this out of the way, have fresh corn and asparagras for lunch and then go out and have some fun. We'll probably get into Boston or somewhere on the North Shore.

Went apple-picking yesterday.

Back to work.

Leave it to [livejournal.com profile] nicolat.

The day the planes hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, was [livejournal.com profile] therasat 's 18th birthday. She knew that would bug her the rest of her life.

But as she prepares for her 20th birthday this week, her sister has discovered some much better news.

September 11 Carl Mays's three-hitter lifts Boston to a 2-1 victory over the Cubs at Fenway Park, giving the Red Sox the 1918 World Series championship. It is the team's third title in four years and fifth overall.

My baby's 20th birthday is the 85th anniversary of the last time the Sox won the Series.

Unbelievable.
