Friday Night Lights

So this morning, I am walking down the hall at school, and I see one of our football guys wearing his uniform. Now I know we open tonight. I am, after all, "The Voice of the Tanners."

But I gotta admit. I got goose-pimples.

I am a high school football junkie. I love it. I have loved it for more than 30 years. That's pretty scary.

Wanna talk scary? I am no longer the father of two teenagers. I just have one. The other is 20.

Beer Night II

So I get back from Your Tanners' 41-6 thumping of Meffa.

It's Friday, so it's beer night.

A variety, again.

Had a single bottle of Dogfish Head Raison d'Etre, a beer I cannot pronounce. A beer of the year, in fact. Very good, very deep and tasty. Complex, as we Beer Cognoscenti say.

Then a Magic Hat No. 9. An old reliable. I love apricots.

On to a Blue Moon Pumpkin. The least-sweet of the Pumpkins I have had. A good beer.

Finally, an Oatmeal Stout -- Harpoon 100 Barrel Series. I was quite pleased to find it. I thought Kappy's was through it. A great beer.
