A happy man
Feb. 16th, 2004 08:22 amSo for a month and a half, I haunt game stores and other places looking for the LOTR Trilogy edition. I even contemplate using Ebay or ordering the expansion from Europe.
So yesterday, I am out and about in Boston. I go into Games People Play, thinking about maybe buying Settlers or El Grande. I had asked the owner about the game a couple of weeks ago, and he said he hadn't even gotten an initial order, and he didn't know when it would be out.
So I am not even thinking about finding it.
As I finish my sweop of the store, I see the game in below the war games, and look at it hard to make sure it's what I think it is.
Turns out, his pre-Christmas order finally came in, and I was looking at the last of four copies he got last week.
Headed over to our friends' house, where all three people had played the original game, and we went at it for more than three hours.
I am a pretty simplistic gamer, so I like simple nechanics and pretty pictures.
I will be hosting gaming sessions on Friday nights, maybe this week or Feb. 27.
