Eight wins
Oct. 17th, 2004 12:09 amAnd yet, I believe.
There I am, sitting in the truck outside Bunghole Liquors, down 3-0, and I decide I still believe. I believe we can win the game and win the series, then with the Series.
By the time I come out of Kappy's with my beer (the Bunghole had nothing really good), we are up 4-3, and I feel better.
Now, of course, it's 17-8, and I wonder why I bother. Ten runs in the bottom of the ninth to win it? Walk-off homer by David Ortiz. I think not.
What most likely happens is we lose, get shelled later tonight, and those of you who don't like baseball will be much happier.
The only positive point tonight was that Henry V was on opposite the game, and I got to see the good bits.
