Vin Scully:

After 19 years in the big leagues, 40 year old Billy Chapel has trudged to the mound for over 4000 innings. But tonight, he's pitching against time, he's pitching against the future, against age, against ending. Tonight, he will make the fateful walk to the loneliest spot in the world, the pitching mound at Yankee Stadium, to push the sun back into the sky and give us one more day of summer.

The cathedral that is Yankee Stadium belongs to a Chapel.

Yeah. It's funny in spots.

A couple of examples and trivia questions:

13. Pumpsie Green. Not Pumpsie himself, but what Pumpsie's playing for the Sox finally meant. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up.

Do you know who Pumpsie Green is?Hint: Think Willie O'Ree.

32. Seriously. We know you hate Bucky Dent.

What is Bucky Dent's middle initial?

8. Carlton Fisk's home run. Here's the deal: YOU LOST GAME 7.

Too, true.

What was the first line in Peter Gammons' main story on that game?

84. Letting Carlton Fisk sign with the White Sox back in '81.

Was anyone else there for his first game in Fenway wearing 72? I was.

. . . at the No. 1 Beer Bar In America.

Anam Cara Publick House, where I have dragged many of you, was rated No. 1 on the Beer Advicate's top beer bars in America. Some of you have also been to No. 4 -- Redbones. I have been to four of the top 20 and seven of the top 50.

I may try and hit Nos. 3 and 10 on vacation.
