Staying busy . . .
May. 22nd, 2005 06:20 pmNot a whole lot new to report, other than I am the father of the youngest qualified fighter in the East Kingdom.
Yes, if you remember Niki as a 7-year-old, know that as of yesterday at Boredom War, she can hit you with a stick, and you can hit her back.
I am immensely proud of her.
I am also proud of my NHS and other volunteer students. We made $1,400+ at the latest "Empty Bowls" fund-raising dinner, and I just got a nice, warm fuzzy note from the woman who helped run the library book sale, because my kids volunteered there.
School is hectic. We just got through MCAS testing, and now there's a 10th Grade Biology pilot tomorrow and an 11th Grade History Pilot (guess who is proctoring) Tuesday.
This is the last week of May, and the first week of June is a four-day week. Two weeks after that, then exams, and, finally, June 28 is out last day. I cannot wait.
