  • Just went to my first graduation party today, at Spinelli's function hall on Route 1 in Peabody/Lynnfield. Ryan wasn't even at my school this year, but I had him last year, and he invited me. Excellent time.

  • One of the keys when packing: If someone says "There's a big box upstairs that has to go in the kitchen," make sure you have the right big box. Otherwise, you get to carry it back.

  • Don't forget [livejournal.com profile] evilnicola's graduation party is Saturday, June 11. The family and friends portion of the program is noon to 3 p.m., and the Shark/Carolingia/Folkvang portion of the event begins at 6 p.m. We will provide food and drinks. Bringing chairs is a great idea.

  • RSVP to her, if you have her address, or to me at billtoscano@comcast.net. If you want to crash, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Another wonderful dinner at The Publick House in Brookline. This week, I was joined by [livejournal.com profile] gwendolyngrace, [livejournal.com profile] sokmunky, [livejournal.com profile] chrystie69, [livejournal.com profile] eclectic_1, [livejournal.com profile] ian_gunn and [livejournal.com profile] nhcarver, who I met for the first time. It was terrific, as usual.

  • For the Publick House junkies (Hi, Tibor!), Shelley was there, but did not wait on us. Helen was back. So was Tom, who waited on us and did a great job.

  • Obviously, no Publick House this weekend because of the graduation party, but if moving goes well on June 18, and if I am moved by June 25, we'll probably meet at the usual table between 4:30 and 5 p.m. RSVP as we get closer.

  • I am taking some time off from SCA events until July 4 at Glenn Linn, then Great Northeastern, then Pennsic.

  • The Red Sox will be the death of me yet.

  • Trying to finish "The Fox at the Front," an alternative World War II ending. Also reading a moon landing book and "Sea of Glory." My first serious summer book purchase is "Shake Hands With The Devil," Romeo Dallaire's account of being in charge fop the UN troops in Rwanda and being unable to help.

Two weeks of classes, then exams, then a Monday half-day with the kids and a Tuesday half-day to check out.
