Wrapping up the weekend
Jul. 5th, 2005 05:22 pmFinally getting around to posting because I had a wicked headache all day, which is finally ebbing thanks to a liter-plus of water, pain reliever and a nap.
Yesterday morning, I had a wonderful coffee/chatting session with
slickgothgurl, though neither of us had coffee. We told each other stories. It was cool.
I walked from there up past around a close Fenway and back. Watched some baseball and the Tour De France on the televisions at the place I was eating, and I cam to the realization that in the U.S. we just don't have sporting events that run past castle after castle after castle. Made me wish I was there.
evilnicola,
sokmunky and I walked over to the home of
dsrtao and
elizabear (which is like walking from one end of a grocery store to another) and set to picnicking and chatting with great abandon. At one point, on the porch, there were about a dozen of us, all with LJs. The people on my friends' list whom I remember being at the party were
chaiya,
cvirtue,
goldsquare,
hfcougar,
jducoeur,
learnedax,
metahacker,
msmemory and
tpau,.
We walked back past my place to the fireworks, which I thought were just amazing for a medium-sized town. It was a really good Fourth of July.
Today has been very low-key, and I have some room-cleaning to do.
