Various Matters . . .
Jul. 20th, 2005 09:26 pmBack when I was in newspapers, we had a section for all the stuff that was too short to be a story by itself. At one paper we called it Various Matters (VMS), and at another it was PP&T (People, Places and Things). Hideous, eh.
Note to my friends: If someone gives you cans of Coke (in this case Canadian Coke), do not leave two of them on the front seat of your truck if you're going to park it in the sun at the Alewife T Station on a 90-degree day. One can developed a pinhole leak to blow off the pressure. The other one? Nearly blew the bottom right off. No one's gonna want to sit in the passenger seat until after I clean it tomorrow.
Writing seminar continues to go really well. I may post more later. I actually have chapter titles for the book, and I will be working on it hard tomorrow afternoon.
First William Westmoreland, then James Doohan. Two different people, yes, but another part of the 60s is gone.
I am actually reading hockey columns, and I care about what the Bruins are going to do with Joe Thornton and Sergei Samsonov.
I cannot decide whether to root for whoever gets Sidney Crosby.
Go Sox! Two in a row!
