Yes, it was cold

The temperature was 26 degrees, and the water was 38 degrees.
This one was different than last year. It was a wide, open beach, and the water did not get very deep very quickly. I had to wade in, then go to my knees, my shoulders and dunk my head.
(Last year we ran down a boat ramp into roiling seas)
The kids and I raised $1,300+, and the donation site is still open for Me or The Kids.
I do think they have me beaten, though.
It was a great day. We had a lot of kids there to volunteer. Got another t-shirt and a small backpack. I am collecting a whole wardrobe of Special Olympics clothes.
I am hunkering down for the blizzard (more on that later). I picked up three more movies -- Godzilla, Ladder 49 and National Treasure.
Oh, also, I have the first four episodes of Firefly. Anyone missing them?
