Getting stuff done . . .
Mar. 21st, 2006 10:44 pmI promised myself that if I finished the World History test on Germany, the Soviet Union, the U.S. and Italy in the time leading up to World War II, I would treat myself and write an LJ entry.
I miss taking the time to write, and to be honest, I miss getting responses.
I love the fact that I can connect with people through LJ.
I think I finally got all my ducks in a row for National Honor Society induction tomorrow night. Of course, the final thing will be running copies of the program, and right now there's only one working copier among the three that teachers can use because the school ran out of toner. I hope to get there in the morning in time to run the copies. The toner, of course, is on order. Now that we are out of it. Sorry.
So much going on, and a lot of it deserves separate posts. That would be some school-related stuff and the Dropkick Murphys review.
I am reading a couple things right now, the W.E.B. Griffin that I meantioned ("The Hostage") and Jim Butcher's "Dead Beat." But I just don't find the time to read enough.
I also need to write. I have about a month to pull things together for my fellowship project on community service. I need to sit down and bang thinsg out.
But it's a good feeling that I have had a really productive days.
I am sad that the Red Sox traded Bronson Arroyo because he had given up some money in his contract to stay with Boston. I am equally displeased with the Patriots not handsomely rewarding Adam Viniateri for everything he has done for them. But then, Dad told me back in the 70s that sports was becoming a business.
Time for bed, I think.
