Thursday morning notes
Jul. 13th, 2006 09:51 amWell, there certainly was a lot going on yesterday . . .
The Hot Stove, Cool Music concert at Fenway was pretty must a washout. Some of the bands played under the stands, but not everyone could see. I have up and headed home.
But something cool did happen there. I ran into a reporter from one of the papers that covers my school. She was with her boyfriend, who happens to be a state senator and is chairman of the Education Committee. (He also assured me he opposes putting the constitutional on Gay marriage on the ballot.
On that issue, they got through 10 items and recessed everything, incuding Gay marriage, until after the election. Another round of phone calls coming.
People continue to assess blame for the collapse of the tunnel ceiling. This is such a mess. I feel badly for the family involved.
Yesterday, I cleaned my room. Yay. More to do today, then on to the Dropkick Murphys concert at Roger Williams Park. More Dropkicks tomorrow night in Hampton Beach, N.H. We’ll be at GNEW Saturday.
