A general post . . .

Yes, that means I am planning specific posts for later (or maybe tomorrow).

1. Arisia rawked! (Yes, that's one of the specific posts).

2. Apparently so did King's & Queen's fencing. Huzzahs to siriel, who became the first female finalist in the history fo the tournament. I cannot wait until she's King's champion some day!.

3. Time to do the "new reader" dance! A couple of these folks have re-added for one reason or another, but most are new. Welcome brian_berlin, divaprime, feralgangrel, persis, thegrinchlyone, belmikey, catness, dr_zrfq, enna99, hakerh, sarahsam, and yendi
to the insanity.

4. Does anyone here use "Spam Arrest" or a similar filtering program? I am interested in recommendations.

Passion Plunge Update

Thanks is large part to folks on my friends' list, I am at $300 with a little under a month to go before the Passion Plunge.

I do have an update . . .

For the third straight year, I am planning on jumping into Massachusetts Bay in February to raise money for Massachusetts Special Olympics as part of the annual Passion Plunge. I will be diving in on Feb. 10, and several of the students from my high school will be doing it with me.

This year is a little different from past years, when we entered as a team called "Peabody Pride."

This year, we're plunging as "All 4 Courtney," in honor of one of our seniors, Courtney Corning, who was killed in a car accident Friday night. All of us are trying to pull together and raise a substantial amount for Special Olympics in Courtney's memory. She was a terrific kid, a terrific athlete and a terrific leader.
