"Better than Animal House"
Mar. 13th, 2007 09:33 pmConsidering the day started with me not being able to find my glasses (when I got home they were between the keyboard and the computer screen. I think there are Motie Brownies living in my room), and putting toothpaste on a scrape on my leg instead of antiobiotic (no, it had nothing to do with not hacing my glasses), I had a terrific day.
The highlight of the morning was waking up and seeing an LJ post in which someone referred to me as "a gentleman and a scholar, sir, and a good man." I lived on that compliment most of the morning.
But it got better when school ended (yes, most days do.).
I have a new favorite movie of all time. Yes, better than "Henry V," better than "Bull Durham" or "For Love of the Game," and . . . wait for it . . . better than "Animal House."
Yeah, so "300" just knocked my socks off. I wanted to kill someone, eat meat and have sex. Wow, wow, wow. I was tingling. (There will be a more through review later).
After that, it was off to Diesel to pick up eight boxes of Girl Scout cookies (well, OK, seven now). Saw lots of shiny people and squeed a lot about the movie.
Took a walk over to Redbones and had one good beer and watched a NESN replay of last year's Patriots' Day Red Sox game (which ended with a walk-off homer). I guess they are showing walk-off games.
Home now. Yay.
Oh, and if you tried to call me tonight, the phone is in the truck. Sorry.
More to come . . .
