So I have been reading Helped Wanted sections for the last couple of months. I really liked the ad for the PR person who had experience in windmill technology, but I didn’t think I was quite the right guy for that one. I also liked the one where you got in your car and traveled all over western Vermont counting the cows at various dairy farms while they were in for milking. I did consider the “cheese-making” and “Custodian/Zambini driver” positions, because they would have been cool skills to have.
I have noticed a dearth of openings for “brewery assistants,” however.
Here’s something from an instructional support associate position in a university library”
"availability to work a schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 7:15 pm to 3:15 am when classes are in session during the academic year"
Now those are fascinating hours, but I am not sure that’s what they mean.
Scrap Iron Yard Looking for Torch Burner: . . . "Bring your work clothes & make little ones out of big ones."
That sounds like fun!
Cover letter Oops: No, that should be “Glens Falls” office, not “Glans Falls” office. I need to slow down a little.
Cats love to “help:” It’s a good thing Kakuru’s paws are clean. Otherwise there would be paw prints all over an application envelope. Our computer room is in the front of the building, which gets a afternoon sun. The desk next to the monitor is a sun-spot, and it’s also nice and warm behind the monitor. The cat wants to make absolutely sure I am doing things right and checks constantly. She is currently skritching her head on the keyboard, then on my arm. (I needed to go back and re-type several times.). Funny thing: I got up to do the trash, and she got up. Now that I am back, she is in the sun and rubbing against my arm. At least she has stopped fighting with the printer. That was yesterday, I think.
