1. One of my regrets is that I no longer live in the town where I grew up. Thanksgiving is even more of an event when you attend the Westerly-Stonington football game, which has been going on since 1911 and is in its 146th game. I was around the game in the early 1970s and into the 1980s, and for a good bit in the 1990s and the early part of this century. (I sound like an old fart). Westerly, RI, where I grew up, is right across the river from Stonington, Conn., and we were serious, sometimes bitter rivals. Thousands upon thousands of people go to the game, then to Thanksgiving dinner. Like all places, college kids come up and take up old acquainances. If I could go tomorrow, it would be as if I never left. I haven't been to the game in years, but I would see guys I gew up with, some of their parents and lots of their kids.I miss it.
2. I read Dan Kennedy, a media critic, all the time. I have not linked him before, but I know some of the folks here are quite interested in the Kindle. His angle is an interesting one.
3. I am tired and going to bed.
