1. And the new thermometer says it's -2.7 degrees. It's down a degree in less than an hour, I think. It's 64.6 inside.
2. You wouldn't think inter-agency politics would play a major role in trying to help kids in our two counties, but oh, my it does!
3. Finding two 22-ounce beers in the car the night before a really hard freeze is terrific. What's a little depressing is finding the third bottle -- blown-out -- the next morning. But the Scotch, which I also forgot, did not freeze.
4. What are the etiquette rules for responding to a note that has a lot of people cc:ed on it.
Specifically:
A. If it's to a lot of people and just asking about attendance.
B. It's from the boss and to three or four people of equal rank and is seeking the answer to a question.
C. Make up your own example.
Do you *always* respond to the whole group?
Do you pick and choose?
Is it OK to reply only to the sender because you think your answer might upset others on the cc: list?
5. I have a new euphemism.
You: "Hey, Liam. Watcha doin'?"
Me: "I am working on my blog."
For the value of "working on my blog" that equates to "I am drinking a beer, and I am going to write about it."
Yep.
Cadillac Mountain Stout from Bar Harbor Brewing Company, if you *must* know.
6. For those who know me, don't sweat the beer blog. I rarely go out drinking these days, and I am actually drinking a lot more for taste than for getting drunk. Yes, sometimes I drink more than a little for the taste, but it's all good.
7. The blog? Hops and Houppelandes, and no, I am not going to mention it every third post. ;)
