1. The excellentness continues. We have now been joined by baronessgav, and  griptiger, two of the coolest people I know!

2. Speaking of cool people, the evervescent firerosebouddic asked me about Jim Rice not making the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I responded:

As someone said in a column today.

"There are certain guys who bat fourth in all-star games, and Jim Rice is that guy."

If he had been a little nicer to writers, he'd be in.

He *dominated* his era.

3. rufinia said something unexpected to me today.

"Yes. You are right."
