1. Welcome to : ~joe_chin and  ~tigerbright.

2. Today's plan is for laundry and housecleaning. I needed almost two full cups of coffee to wake up and focus this morning. In the Liamverse, coffee comes in 16-ounce servings, so I suppose I just had a quart of coffee.

3. I know there are some Pelicans reading here. Recently, there was a supplement to the poll. One name. I did not read carefully (bad Liam). That supplement was an addition to the poll of Andreas and Gabriella, not Konrad and Brenwen. If you have an opinion, it would be important to respond quickly. [Please note, some people have said they feel I am commenting on the candidate. I am *not*. (Ask me privately and we can talk). I am just guessing I am not the only person who didn't realize it was for this reign, and if Their Majesties are to be able to make a decision, either way, they need comments.]

4. Speaking of Pelicans, I guess I need to memorize my elevation date (June 14, 2003). At last night's feast at King's and Queen's Bardic, there was the usual check for non-royal peerage dates, and I was third, so I got to toast the autocrat and kitchen staff. Well-deserved toasts by the way. Excellent site, excellent event, great food. But I just don't feel as though I have been a peer for closing in on five years. Of course, I am also used to being in Carolingia, Bridge and Dragonship, where there are people with peerages older than my kids. <lj user="stonetimber"> joined us at dinner. He tells more stories than I do. We made $140 in the travel/Pennsic fund auction.

5. From [personal profile] slipjig : "Well," she sighed, "Liam is Liam."

In the background, Liam piped up: "And fish is fish!" A pause. "But we don't have a fish."

He was talking to his sister about his four-year-old nephew.

;)

6. I made Kakuru do the "linoleum slip" when I tossed some kitty treats on the k9itchen floor while she was out of the room. She "got a little loose in the turn" as the NASCAR folks would say.

I am going to go do the laundry and maybe run a couple of other errands.

I love finding responses to my LJ.

Check in while I am gone.

What's new?

How are ya?

What should we talk about?

1. King's and Queen's Bardic was a blast.

Meistres Angharad was a peerless autocrat. ;)

Feast was excellent, and it ended with apple pie!

Your winner was Tiberivs Ivlivs Rvfvs. The final five was really tight, and it came down to Tiberius and Master Tki Redbeard.

Her Majesty chose Mistress Ana R. de Guzman as Queen's Champion.

Baron Angus Kerr received a King's Order of Excellent for his period persona. His Majesty was very eloquent in his praise. There were other awards, and I will post them later.

2. Message for [livejournal.com profile] chrystie69: Please contact [livejournal.com profile] amysuemom. She wants to get involved in the SCA and is in your shire.

3. Those of you who know me know that I have SCA buttons. I mean the bright, shiny kind that make my cheeks bulge out and my face turn read.

"Authorizing waterbearers" is one of them.

Let's see what the folks at Gulf Wars have to say about that in their class schedule:

Waterbearer 101
Aingeal Mac An Ghabhan
Danielle de Marseilles
1 hour
Wednesday 1 pm - 2 pm
This class will help you understand the how, why, and when ofwaterbearing for melee and tourney events. We'll discuss feedingfighters, water quality, the uses of bleach, necessary equipment andlots more. Strongly encouraged for Chirurgeons, and you will come awaywith a non-contact green card. You'll need that card to be allowed on the battle field during water holds.

Get out of my way.
Give me the fricking bottles.
Let me go water people.
Please give me refilled bottles

Lather, rinse repeat.
Have a nice day.

4. Who all is coming to the Northern Lights A&S Pentathlon this coming Saturday in Glenn Linn? I can give good restaurant and beer references. If you are, and can bring a table, that would be cool. Put your name on the bottom of the table.

5. Notable for humor Shakesperean Pie.

6. I have fricking "Greensleeves" stuck in my head. (Great, now, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] evil_nicola), I have "Achy, Breaky Heart" stuck in my head.

7. Her Highness asks everyone goingto Coronation to pre-register. If we get enough people, there will be a $1 refund at the gate,
