3. Tough to get up this morning. Did a lot between getting home at maybe 4 p.m. and going to bed after midnight. I got back to skip=600 and hadn't gotten any farther back than Thursday, I think. If you posted something spiffy, please let me know. Work was all catching up. I have a presentation to a school board tomorrow night.
4. I sent out four resumes and cover letters this afternoon/evening. One of them might well be the big one. Can you see me as the volunteer coordinator for Special Olympics New York? That would be cool. I have some real strengths, but I can understand if they promote from within (maybe opening something else up). I heard about it from the coordinator for the Polar Plunge, who I was asking about the plunge and volunteer opportunities for the kids I work with now. I also applied for a couple of adjunct positions (Education 101 and English 101ish) at the local community college. The two othrs are a volunteer/special events position at March of Dimes and a program coordinator for at-risk and underprivileged students at another community college. That one's a reach.
5. Speaking of the Polar Plunge, it's Dec. 13 at Lake George, and I am really going after it this year. The donation site will be up this week, they tell me, and I am going to really hustle, contact local businesses, etc., and shoot for $5,000. Even if I get halfway there, it will be pretty cool. I will form a team if folks are interested.
6. I am loving the Olympics. I wish we had cable, but we can at least get good sound with the super rabbit ears.
