1. I am happy to welcome the following folks to the insanity that is the Liamverse.

2. Since I spent 90 minutes at a school open house tonight and I have to go to an evening meeting Monday, I will be able to get out of work at noon tomorrow, meaning we should get into the Boston area earlier than expected. We are staying with freinds in Ashland. I am unsure what I am doing tomorrow night.

3. I got some time to read on the trip to and from Ithaca. I am trying to read Jack Whyte's templar novel, "Knights of Black and White." The going is not easy. I finished a book about small-town Texas six-man football, and I am trying to start the S.M. Stirling "Dies The Fire" so I can get into the rest of the series.

4. Maybe I will catch the passion when the playoffs start, but I do not have a good feeling about our team this year. Maybe it's other stuff, I dunno. But finishing second to Tampa Bay? I cannot believe it's been 15 straight years for the Yankees. I almost feel badly. Almost.

5. I have no energy for politics right now.

6. I am listening to Tom Brokaw's book, "Boom!: Voices of the Sixties Personal Reflections on the '60s and Today." Great stuff. Reminiscent of David Halberstam's wonderful "The Fifties."

7. So someone needed to get the word out on something, and someone else said to ask me because "Liam has friended the world."

I *like* that.

Morguhn Sheridan's family has asked me to collect the many remembrances folks are posting about him.

If you have written about him, would you please either send me your thoughts or a link to the LJ or other site where they are?

I will compile it, as requested.

Please pass this on as appropriate.

Let's use wtoscano@nycap.rr.com for this one.

Thanks,

Liam

PS: There will be a remembrance room and a remembrance book at Coronation Saturday.
