1. Welcome to ~girlie47. I know have 23 new friends in just 22 days this month! Yay!  Send your friends to the Liamverse! And this weekend is Crown. Yee-ha!

2. The baseball season starts again Monday, April 6, when we host Tampa Bay, of all people.

3. A couple of fingers of scotch and good music will do wonders for my mood.

4. The BBC's History of the English Language site rocks. This does not surprise me.

5. This is specifically for [livejournal.com profile] baronernst  ,  but I offer it here for anyone interested.

I post a lot to LJ. (No shit, Liam).

I use a program called Semagic, which is available for download at this truly hideous page.

It's a great program, and I highly recommend it.

6. It's about 39 degrees outside and kinda chilly. My wife just handed me a cup of Lapsang Souchong.

7. I know this is an old-guy thing to say, but I never expected to see gas back below $3 a gallon.

1. A big, hearty Liamverse welcome to  [livejournal.com profile] jarien and [livejournal.com profile] julifox.

People listen to [livejournal.com profile] zarhooie. Who woulda thunk it?

2. I have just been informed of cat-free, smoke-free crash space for Crown not too far off the highway, less than an hour from Crown. Contact me.

3. Desperate Liam is desperate. Does coming anyone have a charger for the Nikon EN-EL3a series camera batteries? (I have a Nikon D50, but others use it). Or a spare, fresh battery? If you can bring one or the other, there will be Portagee Stew Beef for you. ;)

4. I am a bad man.

Someone posted in a teaching LJ about wanting to find poems that include compound words.

All I could think of was George Carlin saying "cocksucker and motherfucker. Those are powerful words."

5. Quote of the day from the Liamverse: "Cats are better than wet towels." (It had to do with being left on the bed).

6. Call me a silly man (Liam, you are a silly man). Would there have been crossbows at Agincourt? (the 583rd anniversary of which is Saturday -- Crown Tournament).

7. Speaking of which:

Fluellen: "If your Majesty is remembered of it, the Welshmen did good service in a garden where leeks did grow, wearing leeks in their Monmouth caps, which your Majesty knows, to this hour is an honourable badge of the service, and I do believe, your Majesty takes no scorn to wear the leek upon Saint Tavy's day".

King Henry: "I wear it for a memorable honour; for I am Welsh, you know, good countryman".
