TRENTON, N.J. — Internet matchmaker eHarmony.com must provide same-sex matching services next year under a settlement reached today in New Jersey.

The company, founded in 2000 by Neil Clark Warren, had refused to take listings for homosexuals. The new service, Compatible Partners, will be marketed to gays and lesbians and be available through the eHarmony.com Web site.
