Good morning to all my friends
Jan. 5th, 2009 07:05 amFor me, today is really the start of the New Year.
The last four days have been the end of the Old Year/vacation.
I will be setting off for work in a few minutes with a mixture of dread and hope, trepidation and anticipation.
It's really a new start in many ways. I have a new (interim) boss, who is the head of the organization, I do not have many -- of any -- pressing on-my-throat issues, and there are a lot of things to do this week, many of them involving writing, which I enjoy.
Job hunts continue for both of us, but I am looking at things with confidence right now. A couple of hours of depression the last couple of days over various issues, but also the commitment to overcome things.
I am thankful for my family and friends.
And to my friends -- especially a couple in the Boston area -- hang tough. Change is hard. You know I love you, and I know you will get through.
Have a terrific start to the week, all.
Liam
