1. I have been way off schedule since the holidays, so tonight's an attempt to get back to my normal posting pattern.
2. Good day at work! Still learning to work with the head boss (who will be my supervisor for six weeks or so), but it helped a lot that Tuesday our Technical Assistance person from the state told her that the long report I got done before the end of the year was "good" according to the DoH liaison, who is difficult to please. The review of my annual review (the head boss wanted to go over it with me herself) was a good deal of, "Yes, I have dealt with that," and "I have a new policy in place for that."
3. OK, only Puppy could get written up in the Ulan Bator Post.
4. I know some of you have seen this video of
dreda and
rising_moon singing a processional they wrote for alethea_eastrid's Coronation. But I know some of you haven't.
Go. See it.
5. I have been a Rocco Baldelli fan since he earned his first-round pick by playing hurt (bad back) and hitting a couple of homers to knock my old high school out of the R.I. state playoffs. He's gonna look magnificent in Fenway, and I bet John Smoltz has just a little left in him, too. Good day for the Red Sox.
6. Apparently, if you are at 12th Night, you will get to see me dance. When I told the fair and gracious Olivia de Borough that I did not dance, she coyly asked, "But you would dance with me, wouldn't you?" Hosed. I am fricking hosed. Now the queenwants to dance with me tells me I will be dancing with *her* too. No, this is *not* an open invitation.
7. I will tell you one thing. All of my schooling, high school, college and grad school, along with some personal reading, leaves me woefully unprepared to understand the new out of Gaza. (That's an observation, that's all.)

Game design, anyone?
Jan. 8th, 2009 10:11 pm
I know there are some folks here who do this.
Goodman Games is looking for writers! This is an open call for 4E game designers who want to contribute to Book of Rituals, a hardback compilation that will see print in the fall. This is paid work-for-hire. All accepted submissions become the property of Goodman Games, and contributors receive 3 cents per word, printed credit, and a copy of the published book.
For more information, email bookofrituals@goodman-games.com or visit their forums.
