Note: Since I have read more Liam-style posts than I have posted in the last couple of weeks, I figured it was time to return to form.
1. I believe
dragonlily3 is the only new reader I have not said "Hello!" to yet.
2. So, for the second day in a row I was up at 7 a.m. and unable to get back to sleep. So the first thing I did was knock my Inbox back from 200-something to 70-something. Yeesh, it piles up.
3. I then went to breakfast at a buffet at a local VFW post and went to Mass for the second week in a row. I want to explore the Mass part more later.
4. Then it was 2.5 hours of laundry, many, many pages of the new Harry Dresden novel, a trip back home in which I got caught in a traffic stoppage because of the bike race, a quick visit back home, then back to Cambridge (where breakfast, Mass and the laundry were) for the finish of the bike race, then back home to do the story.
5. Here's a link to this morning's bike racing story. There will be another tomorrow at the Post-Star.
6. Someone suggested I start reading the Wall Street Journal. I haven't yet, but the Yahoo front page linked to this story about the typeface
Comic Sans.
"Comic Sans walks into a bar, bartender says, 'We don't serve your type.'"
7. And because we just need to, here's a link to the New York Times story with a great scoreline: Indians 22, Yankees 4.
Referring to Joe Girardi:
He also said that because Wang was out of minor league options, there was no way to send him to the minors without giving other teams a chance to claim him.
Can't you just see the discussion in the Red Sox front office about whether or not to pick up a guy with an ERA that's a shade under his age (and only a shade)?
