Friday afternoon: Wrapping up work
Apr. 24th, 2009 02:12 pm1. OK, when the forecast is for 70-degree whether, you should not have to scrape your sindshield in the morning. (Granted, I was parked in shadow). Also, not gonna make 70 today anyway. Tomorrow is supposed to be much warmer.
2. The second phone interview with Troy Prep has been postponed to next Tuesday. I have to ask myself, did he really have a meeting opo up or is it a sunny Friday afternoon in the high 60s, maybe 70s where he is. I know what I would have done.
3. If I stilled lived in the Boston area, I would so be planning on "Star Trek" with my friends like we did for "Serenity."
4. The first three games between the Yankees and the Red Sox are this weekend in Fenway Park. Oh, for a sweep. Oh, *that's* why my work colleague said this morning, "I hope we win 10 straight."
5. I hate leaving my phone at home. I realized it on the way in, but it was too late to go back. I can call the number to get messages, which is good, but the only two phone numbers I know are

6. Speaking of my lovely wife. We actually get to spend some quality weekend time together -- nto at an event -- starting around noon tomorrow.
7. Oh, yeah. So I went to the organizational meeting for the Town of Salem Youth Commission, and my name will be submitted tot he Town Board for approval as one fo the original members.
We had to go around the table introducing ourselves, largely for my benefit.
Before the end of the meeting, this exchange occurred.
Person One: "Wow, Bill, you know a little of people considering you have only been here five years."
Person Two: "He's only been here a year-and-a half."
Person One: "Wow, you *do* know a lot of people."
