I agree with her idea that food is not really the point, and I also agree with her points about the food.
The beer is spectacular.
It's no secret how proud I am of evilnicola.
One of the many reasons is the fact that she has been running the Teen Party at East Kingdom Royal at Pennsic since, well since she first became a teen-ager.
She notes that the kids who went to the first party as 13-year-olds can no longer attend the party. ;)
Here's the announcement:
It is with great excitement that we announce the 7th annual East Kingdom Teen Party, to be held Monday August 3rd, in East Kingdom Royal, from 7pm-11pm. Citizens from all kingdoms between the ages of 13-17 are invited to come eat our snacks, drink our drinks, and hang out with each other. The party is always a blast, and we look forward to seeing the same friendly faces we have come to know, as well getting to know new people too.
On another note, we are accepting donations from the citzenry of the East for food and drinks. We would be extremely grateful for donations of juice boxes/bags and snacks, especially veggies, which are always the kids' favorites.

Should your child's teacher wear a turban, a hijab, a kippah or other "religious dress'? The state of Oregon doesn't think so. The Oregon Workplace Religious Freedom Act, now awaiting the governor's signature, requires all employers to let workers wear religious items with one exception: "No teacher in any public school shall wear any religious dress while engaged in the performance of duties as a teacher."
The proposed law has set up a classic religious liberty battle between the First Amendment's Establishment clause, which tells government not to favor (or disfavor) one religion over another, and the Free Exercise clause, which tells government to leave the religious alone. The new law also reflects the increasing difficulty of accommodating a widening variety of religious faiths in a pluralistic society.

Discrimination much?
I suppose I would not be able to wear my cross, either.
3. I am really enjoying "Warehouse 13" on hulu.com.
4. I am doing housecleaning and some computer stuff today. I actually have two tubs packed for Pennsic, and we are not leaving until July 31.
5. OK, so gwenlianna has referred to the new Harry Potter movie as "Hogwarts 90210."
6. I need to post about our busy day yesterday. Maybe later.
7. Like father, like son?
That's Andre, son of our king and queen.
