1. I would welcome new folks, but Joule, which I use to keep track of who comes and goes, has reverted to the old engine, and now I get an error message.

rhodri2112 has asked me to boost the signal on this one:
Hey all
We're going to do a memorial get together for Ternon de Caerleon under my shade fly the Monday of War Week. It will be at my tent in Calontir (N05).
If you have any stories or memories of Ternon to share, or just remember him, or just want to hear about the first fyrdman of Calontir, please come. We'll have beers, chat about him and his legacy, and then spread some of his ashes by the Runestone.
Again, this will be at my tent, on the Monday of War Week (3 August), starting 6ish.
Please pass this notice along appropriately, as I know there are many across the Knowne World who remember him.
Thanks
Could one of the Ansteorrans pass this on to your folks? Same for Northshield and the Mid, too?

I haven't done one of these in quite a while: now's as good a time as any. If you do freelance work or creative work of any kind and think that you might benefit from having me refer you to my clients as the need arises, tell me. Comments are and will remain screened: tell me WHAT you do - it's okay to be specific and technical -- the best way to contact you, and the type of jobs you prefer (one shot projects, ongoing relationships, won't do religious work, etc.)
I'm organizing my referral list, so this would be a good time to update info, too.
Bear in mind that the most I can do is refer you along: there's no guarantee you'll get the gig, or that the client won't be a disaster. Sometimes that happens. Also: NB: Much of what I do and the jobs I've access to are relatively super duper boring. That's why it's work ;-) But we all need monies, and I like having a very big pool of talented folks to draw upon. It makes me seem much cooler than I actually am.
Also: I'm anticipating a spike in blogging-for-dollars/corporate social media marketing type work, if you're interested in that, let me know.
Feel free to tell everyone you know about this post. When I make referrals, I tend to refer people I know and like FIRST, but let's be real: you may have a skill that no one I know nor like has.
So, go: tell me what you do.
4. And finally, because I am a patron of the Ahtz:
The Known World Players announce auditions for "Medea"--to be performed at Pennsic War 39 (2010). 5. Second-generation major leaguer. I like him already, even though his brother is with the Yankees.
And we all know I like Julio Lugo as much as I like pirates.
