1. In the SCA, my good friend Tiberius is a bard, fighter, artisan  and bon vivant of some reknown.

In the real world, he is a high school teacher in Vermont, and he’s looking for some help for his classroom. Notice, one of the uses for the items will be in dealing with Romeo & Juliet.

2. Also, seaonwilliam has sent early word on Bhakail Baronial Yule, which will be Saturday, Dec. 5, in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. Word is, it will be a royal progress.

I think it sounds wicked cool. That's a bust Saturday, so please mark the date.

The theme of the event is the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. All of the activities during the day will pull off this unified theme and I have placed an additional challenge onto the Master Chef and the sideboard Chef. They will be having to select their recipes from the time period of Henry II and only use seasonal ingredients that would have been available in early December. Also, we'll be having an above the salt section of the feast which will showcase some of the regions local cooks.

The event is being held at Lulu Shriners in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Bhakail has used this site in the past and the size will allow us to perform a number of activities under one roof. These activities (to date) include: Baronial Brewing and A&S Championships, Rattan and Youth Fighting, a Court of Love.
