By next week, we expect to be living in Glens Falls!
Phone numbers won’t change, and I will let folks know when to change the address.
Anyway, we have been living at a wonderful apartment – at a great rent – out in rural Salem, NY, for a little more than two years. At the time we got here, I was not yet working, and Alethea’s commute was maybe 20-25 minutes.
Now, I am driving 43 minutes to work, and she is driving even longer. (When the truck is out of commission, it’s even longer).
The new apartment, according to Google Maps, is 13 minutes from my work and – yes – 13 minutes from hers. This will rock.
This will really be wonderful for us and will finally allow us to get more involved in Glenn Linn and in other things in Glens Falls. It'll also be a quicker trip to Saratoga Springs and Albany.
We will likely need *some* help moving, but that’s all up in the air right now. We are packing already.
We are getting the keys for this coming weekend, probably Sunday, Oct. 25. (Of course it’s the Closing of the Inne).
I have a personal day on Tuesday, Oct. 27 and will be doing moving stuff that day.
We plan on being completely out of here by Sunday, Nov. 1 – the day after Crown. That may be the day we need help.
The new apartment is on the second floor, and the landlord lives on the first. Heat’s included, which is key for us.
We’ll know better about when we will be needing help by the weekend.
There will be food and beverages, of course, and honestly, there will be free clothes, books and other stuff. We don’t want to move everything.
More to come.
