Hi everyone,

We are very happy and excited to let you all know that we have our act together early this year and would like to announce the dates for our Boston St Patrick’s Day shows for 2010. We will be playing from Friday March 12th through to Wednesday March 17th at the Boston House Of Blues. Tickets for these shows will go on sale next Friday November 27th. More details will be sent out over the next week.

The South Boston St Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Sunday March 14th and there will be tons of other great stuff happening all week at McGreevys and around town. So come help us turn Boston into another giant DKM convention for the week of St. Pats!

Oh and while we are at it here's some more good news. We are just finishing up putting together our Live On St Patrick's Day 2009 album release that will come out in time for next year's shows, ready to get you in a festive mood ready for the 2010 debacle. The album will feature a completely different track listing from our first live CD that came out back in 2002. There will also be a bonus DVD version so we're going to give you your moneys worth. We made sure there was no double dipping on the songs here!

See ya in Boston 2010!

Love,

Dropkick Murphys

Freya needed it today, so I pulled it together.

I will expand later

1.5 pounds stew beef (dredge in flour)
1 pound Italian sausage
Onions, garlic and peppers to saute
One large (18-24 ounce can of tomato sauce
One small can of tomato paste
Water to make it a little less dense
Carrots and potatoes
One or two bay leaves

Brown the onion, garlic and peppers
Reserve
Brown the meat, throw the onions, garlic and peppers in.
Add the liquid
Add the bay leaves
Simmer 15-20 minutes
Add the potatoes and carrots
Cook until ready (potatoes tender)

Note: I typed this with barely any coffee in me, in the morning, so I would make sure Freya had it.

OK, 28 hours from now we will be pulling the heated towels out of the coolers (we run them through the dryer right before we leave), toweling off and heading for the Polar Plunge post-revel.

Between now and then, we still have a little work to do., as we continue to raise money for Soecial Olympics New York.

1. Our team, Agni Dentati, had $1,980, and the second-place team, the Wet Bandits, are second at $1,750, and last year's winners, Saratoga Rugby, is third at $1750.

I do not trust either of those teams. I think they are both capable of raising hundreds of dollars between now and Saturday, and they may even have some they have not turned in yet. The Wet Bandits are three really good guys and good at fund-raising, and Saratoga Rugby may well show up in a coach bus.

So, what I am saying is that any donation to any of the individuals will help the team as well. We were second last year, and we would like to represent the SCA and our friends by finishing first, forcing them to put "Agni Dentati" on next year's posters.

2. Speaking of individuals

[livejournal.com profile] knoggleknot just hit the $100 mark. Will he finish last on the team?

[livejournal.com profile] gwenlianna and [profile] alethea_eastrid are both within $70 of the next prize level ($250), which would be wicked cool.

[livejournal.com profile] evilnicola is within $95 of making the Top 5 leader board. If we can get two folks on the leaderboard, that's gonna go a long way toward the team finishing first.

I am clinging to a $1,050-$1,000 lead over Bob Shevy of the Wet Bandits for the top fundraiser.

Yes, I am fascinated by this. Call me silly. I am an old-time sports writer.

But as Joshua Chamberlain was quoted in Gettysburg, "Sometimes we did it, because it was the right thing to do."

I enoy the fund-raising, and I enjoy the plunge.

I know I get a little repetitive and annoying at times. I am Liam.

Thank for everything. I will update tomorrow, and we'll be done.

Please pass this on as you can
