Full disclosure . . .

OK, so I have posted a couple of nice thigs my students have said about me.

Now we get to Mike S.

Mike was posting about go to Wal-Mart with his wife to pick up new, white sleeveless undershirts. (I didn't allow the use of the word "wifebeater" in my classroom.

Anyway, somehow the topic of guys specifically buying them small to look pumped up comes up.

Another friend of his, who obviously listened in history class, starting in on the "Napoleon Complex," etc.

I complimented the poster and suggested that Mike listened on occasion.

Mike's response, as I got it.

Napolean stormed the beaches of Normandy after the 2nd Battle of Bull Run, touching off the Boston Tea Party, which lead to the Arparthied in South Africa, during which period of time, the Tet Offensive was in full swing and Ted Kennedy passed away a few days later.... and you say i only paid attention occasionally! hahahaha

Update on the flu and same-sex marriage

Which are not related.

1. Still feeling crappy. Less crappy, but crappy.  Lower temp, but some chest tightness. Listless. Not hungry. Blech.

2. The New York House, as expected, reaffirmed its earlier passage of the same-sex marriage bill last night. The Senate will be debating it this afternoon after they finish the Debt Reduction Plan. Apparently, this is it. I am staying updated at the Capitol Confidential Blog.
