I never posted last night, largely because yesterday was one of the worst four or five days in my 30+ as an employee of one place or another. It was awful in a variety of ways. I crawled into bed early and stayed there. The cats watched over me.

Of course, I really didn't want to come in today, but I got here and continued sick-week catch-up for an hour, then at 9 a.m. got the call that there were some folks here for scheduled Unemployment meetings.

Five meetings and 90 minutes later, I emerged. I have never done more than two in a row. I have been doing a little more catch-up, and grabbing a little downtime, and now I have to do the computer followup on those five meetings.

That'll take me to 12:30 p.m., and I am teaching our Choices class for welfare applicants and former prisoners this afternoon. That will get me beyond 3 p.m. and leave about 45 minutes for more catch-up.

The day will be over, and I can go home and do the half-dozen or so SCA things waiting for me.

(One more post and back to work).

I have some great user pics, but I seem to be in a rut.

Does anyone have any user pics they might recommend?

No warning labels!

This one is for [livejournal.com profile] baronslickwilly, [livejournal.com profile] bedeb and anyone else around Richmond.

One of true flowers of Calontir -- wombatgirl -- will be visiting your fair city fairly soon.

She's on here, too, I think.

I thought maybe ya'all might want to be hospitable, or at least tell her where she could watch smelly fighters.

Someone I respect highly wrote this to me the other day, and I have been thinking about it:

Have you considered having a regular out-in-the-world blog?  Skimming your responses to questions, it would combine so many things for you.  I won't enumerate them since you know you better than I know you.  :-)

I was thinking something like a sports blog.  Not the usual cruft that's opinion pieces.  Pieces about the people you've met and "collected" (you collect people) over the years.  Kind of an online version of Bill Littlefield's radio show.  There's probably lots of them out there, but if you were having fun then that's half the point.  I know I'd read it.

Alternatively, you could write about history and make it interesting with the human element.  (Not self-serving of me at all...)

What do you think of this? Does it have potential? You might well read it. Would others?

I have been brainstorming for a couple days on this. I wonder if a combination of school (education) and sports might work. Or is the History idea a better way to go.

I would also welcome ideas for a blog name.

Thanks,

Liam
