I want to thank everyone who took the polls and/or made comments on the classes I want to teach.
Here are the classes I have put forward for the EKU in Anglespur (Troy, NY area) on April 24.
“Songs of Chivalry:” A survey of SCA songs that relate to Chivalry or to actual battles during the SCA period.
“Peers, Squires, Apprentices and Proteges:” The class will start with an introduction to to the SCA's three peerages -- the Chivalry, the Laurel and the Pelican. It will also include background and discussion on peer-student relationships, including squires, apprentices and proteges. We'll also discuss men-an-arms and other students.
“Welcome to the SCA: ” A quick and easy introduction for newcomers to the SCA. Chatelaines and others are also welcome to attend.
“Award Recommendations Made Simple:” So you’re interested in recommending people you know for SCA awards. How do you do that? What are some things to make sure you do and things to make sure you avoid? In fact, what are these awards all about? An overview of the award and recommendation process.
I have a question for you!
Many people are interested in the SCA Stories and Legends class.
What are some of the stories you know about?
I am just looking for general information right now.
Thanks,
Liam
