1. It is absolutely amazing how quickly the first cup of coffee disappears. (And the second doesn't last too long, either)
2. The Liam-Brain works in mysterious ways. I guess I have been reading too many New York Times articles about the air travel mess in Europe, because I woke up with the Steve Miller Band singing "Big Old Jet Airliner" in my head. It keeps wanting to switch the song to Queen's "We are the Champions."
3. I have been in the SCA too long. I saw a poster for a big country music festival, including Gretchen Wilson, saw the date, said, "Oh, GNEW" and moved on.

5. Darnell McDonald has restored my faith in baseball.
6. If you are in the SCA, specifically in the East Kingdom, now would be an excellent time to recommend people are awards. The deadline for Their Majesties second pollings for peerages and high orders of merit is May 1. You can write in other awards at any time. Here's a thought, especially on Awards of Arms: If you know the royals are coming your area, get those award recommendations in now. It's always great when the royals can visit places and give well-earned awards to local folks. They don't know everyone and need your help.
