2. I humbly submit that if you have seen the video link for "First of May" more than six times on your friends' list today, you and your freiends are geeks.

If half or more of those links are the Warcraft links, you are geeks of the first order.

3. Some folks have remarked that they saw my name on the nomination list for the SCA Board of Directors in the most recent Pikestaff. The link for the list on the SCA main site, with an e-mail link for commentary, if you are so inclined, is here.

4. Had I bet on the Kentucky Derby, I would have worked my bets around a trifecta of 10-1-21. That would have added up to 0-for-3.

5. I am just really unhappy with the way this murder story has been reported.

WOBURN — Clutching a jacket like a security blanket and pressing his forehead against a table, special needs student John Odgren was sentenced yesterday to spend the rest of his life in prison, without the possibility of parole, after being convicted of fatally stabbing a fellow student inside Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School three years ago.

That has been the entire theme of this. I am just really uncomfortable with it.

6. First farmers' markets of the season. We went to Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs. We are part of a farm share this year. It's amazing how much food you get for the price. Tomorrow will be a cooking day.
