I just re-wrote this press release, and I thought I would share.

We could offer crash space.

 It does conflict with Coronation.

Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival

If you have any interest at all in knitting, crocheting, weaving or any of the other fiber arts, you will want to be back at the Fairgrounds Sept. 25 and 26 for the second annual Southern Adirondack Fiber Fest.

This event will draw more than 90 regional vendors from New York and New England. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
.
There will also be a wide variety of demonstrations and displays on both days. Demonstrations will include sheep shearing, weaving, spinning, Kool-Aid dyeing and rug hooking.

If you want to see where the fibers actually come from, a variety of sheep breeds, alpaca, llama, cashmere goats and angora rabbits will be exhibited by their owners. The Festival will have musical entertainment, Puddles the Clown doing face painting and balloons, and an assortment of food.

Admission is $5 for Adults, children under 14 are free. There is lots of free parking. For the safety reasons, we ask that you leave your pets at home.

More information is available by calling (518) 692-2464.

The 2010 edition of Irish Fest 2000 will be held Sept. 17 and 18 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, NY. That's maybe 30 minutes from Chez Casa Villa Haus here in Glens Falls.

Great Big Sea will be playing on Saturday, as will the Young Dubliners and local favorites Hair of the Dog.

There are also three Irish Step Dance Troupes and the Schenectady Pipe Band playing Saturday, along with other bands.

Friday include two of my favorites -- Enter The Haggis and Gaelic Storm -- and others.
