Dear Bill; You have two major writing projects and three resumes to work on today.

Commenting on the Pennsic A&S youth policy does not fall under any of these assignments.

Please turn off the Internets or the cats will disembowel you.

Liam's Pennsic Quest . . .

No shit, there I was . . .

Quietly sitting in front of my computer when a Message flashed up on my Gmail Chat.

The King: “Liam, I need information about Lord X and Lord Y. You know everyone. What can you tell me?”

Liam: “I am sorry Your Majesty, I do not know anyone in that group.”

The King: “Hmmmmmmm. Thank you, Liam.”

Two weeks later:

The King: “Liam, Lord Z has expressed an interest in doing something important for us. You know everyone. What can you tell me about him?

I think. I google. I fret.

Liam: “Your Majesty, I do not even know where Lord Z is from.”

The King: “Hmmmmmmm. Thank you, Liam. I must think on this.”

Fast forward to court Saturday night, and I get called up to announce the post-court Travel/Pennsic Fund auction. (We made $500).

The King decides that since I clearly do *not* know everyone in the SCA, I should atone for that, and I need a quest.

You know how knights fight 1,000 bouts?

The King: “Liam, I want you to make 1,000 introductions at Pennsic. This will help citizens of our kingdom meet others from the East and to meet people from other kingdoms. You might even meet some people.”

The Queen: *majestic giggles*

I do love my king and queen.

So, if you are going to be at Pennsic, and you would like to take a walk with me and meet people, please let me know.
