Yo, Liamverse! How's it hanging?
There are a lot of folks on my LJ whom I have not met yet.
Some of them, however, have really impressed me, and one of them is the famous (infamous?) anomie666 from the one of the Boston LiveJournals.
The dude is doing a three-day (I wanted to say three-way) Walk For The Cure this weekend, and he's just a touch short on donations.
Help him if you can, please!
Why does he walk?
My sister in law Laurel nearly died because of this disease and still suffers through taking medication that causes some severe physical symptoms. I also lost an aunt to this disease.
The 2009 walk was one of the best experiences of my life and I was so glad to walk with a group of guys committed to help fight this disease. I would be so grateful for any donations to help me reach my fundraising minimum.
Pass on you would like.

Thursday afternoon: Bright and shiny
Jul. 22nd, 2010 01:38 pm1. I have been able to post a little in other places, but I am way behind on LiveJournal.
Life has been really, really busy. I am finishing up the Washington County Fair program tonight, then I have four resumes to do (hi, folks!) that I hope to have done for Monday. Over the weekend, I had a pair of baseball games to cover, plus a small first-year music festival and the opening celebration for Saratoga Race Course. (This was the family day deal. Racing commences Friday).
On the SCA front, I am finishing the paperwork for Northern Region War Camp, and we had the review of it Tuesday night. If you have any ideas to improve it, please let us know.
2. Speaking of the County Fair, I got to interview Puddles The Clown, but I never caught up with the guy from the Hot Dog Races. The fair is August 23-29 if you want to come up to Washington County, NY.

3. I don't quite know how Londo Mollari would be a Pelican, toxic service (all those dead Narns) and all, but he has great peerage advice:
“The quiet ones are the ones that change the Universe, Luc Deradi. The loud ones only take the credit.”
-- Londo Mollari
Now that I think of it, I would recommend G'Kar, and he has great advice:
"Compassion is a rare commodity these days."
-- G'Kar
4. I hate golf more than I hate Arr Pyrates. Just sayin'.
5. What's the best Buffy episode ever?
6. For my librarian/gamer friends.
Everyone Plays At the Library
7. I adore Fake AP Stylebook on twitter:
hell - But capitalize Hades. Lowercase philadelphia.
