1. As you can see, life has been busy and full.

2. Spent today answering mail, dealing with bills, catching up on resumes and other writing and a few other odds and ends.
3. I am working on a newspaper story and waiting for a call back. I have a football game tonight. Tomorrow, I will be at the launch of the Adirondack Balloon Festival for 6:30 a.m., then I have a football game at 1 p.m. For Sunday, I managed to get assigned to the Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival. Hey, hun? Wanna come on assignment with me?

evilnicola and her car to Lyle's in South Gelns Falls, and 20 minutes and $21 later, she had her inspection sticker. I love Lyle's.
5. One of the nice things about the traveling this week was spending a couple of nights with the lovelytheresat, who was terrific to me. She was a little surprised when she woke up at 2 a.m. Thursday to find l3arcelona and I drinking beer in the living room. He had just gotten in from Phoenix (and boy were his arms tired).
6. In visiting her, I did get a chance to stop at Armsby Abbey in downtown Worcester, Mass. It's an amazing high-end beer bar which seems to have fabulous food, too.
7. On the trip, I did learn an amazing amount about chess -- and history -- and I am not done yet. I am listening to the book on CD of The Immortal Game by David Shenk.
