Here is my class schedule for Pennsic
All are the second week and all are in AS 11
Teaching In The SCA, Sunday, 9 a.m.:
Liam’s Favorite SCA Songs, Sunday, 10 a.m., Wednesday, 2 p.m.
Having Fun In The SCA: Wednesday, 10 a.m.
Court: In the Audience and Behind the Thrones: Thursday, 9 a.m.
I am asking them to switch The Fun and Court classes, because some courts are Wednesday night. I will keep you posted.
That is a long way away.
So here’s my teaching schedule for this coming Saturday at Arts & Arrows.
10 a.m. : "How to Have Fun In The SCA:" This is a class for anyone in the SCA, whether new or experience. A list of really fun ways to pass the time in the SCA and ideas on how to approach it as fun.
11 a.m. : "Welcome to the SCA:" A basic newcomers' class even for people at their first event.. The real basics about the SCA. I am doing this one second to give the new folks a chance to get acclimated.
Break for lunch
Informal discussion over lunch: "Student-Teacher Relationships in the SCA."
1 p.m.: "If Someone's Wearing a coronet with six pearls, what do I call her?" The answer is "Your Excellency." This is a quick overview of awards, titles and forms of address in the SCA. Useful for new folks and as a refresher.
2 p.m.: "SCA Groups and Geography:" What's a stronghold? Where is Smoking Rocks?" "Why is it called "Smoking Rocks?" "You mean there's SCA in Australia?" A quick overview of kingdoms, principalities, baronies and the like and a look at SCA geography in the East and in the Know World.
3 p.m.: "Peerages 101:" What's a peerage? How do people get to be peers?
I will also have the materials for “Liam’s Favorite Songs” with me.
Please come, there are a lot of other cool classes and fighting and archery and other cool stuff.
There will also be fencing run by Concordia’s own Lady Gwenliana.
There is camping and a wicked good $5 feast. Potluck dayboard.
I am waiting to get my Roses schedule, and I will update you on Northern Region War Camp plans, too.
