Well, that was a busy weekend.
Already have been back to work, and since we did so much advance work Friday, in order to get Monday off, today was not a difficult day at all.
The weekend started with a good day at work Friday, again, a lot of advance writing. The evening was not so pleasant. I was having a lousy night emotionally, and the local team opened the season by losing a game it should have won. But Alethea Toscano   got a visit from a friend who helped her mock up a gown for coronation.
Saturday more than made up for Friday for me. My father-in-law is a private pilot, and he and my mother-in-law "popped over" from Maine, making the 90-minute flight. We went for a walk of several miles along the Feeder Canal in Fort Edward, then went to the Adirondack Pub and Brewery for lunch. (Guess whose idea that was?). I got to try a beer I am writing about this week. Fiddlehead Farm in Hartford grew hops and the brewers at Adirondack made a beer out of it. It was good, and so was the food. They took off (literally and figuratively) after a short ride, we napped, and then I did some serious playing on Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Sunday, Sara Collins came to get us in her new Kia Soul so she could get her iPhone fixed at the Apple Store at the Crossgates Mall. Other than the hour -- yeah, and hour, maybe more -- in traffic because of an accident on I-87 near Exit 7 on the Northway, that was a fabulous day that included visiting with Nefertiti Smith, burgers at Johnny Rocket's, Barnes & Noble and our first visit to the new Trader Joe's in Albany. More SWTOR ensued.
Monday was a little more relaxing, though I did have to write up the football game and a couple of other things for work. Got a good deal of cleaning done in the kitchen and the dining room either Sunday or Monday. In the afternoon, Sara  invited us up for a Labor Day barbecue that included ribs, chicken, corn, basked beans, German potato salad and blueberry cheesecake.
All in all, a very good holiday weekend.
