This and that . . . .
Jan. 4th, 2005 08:15 pmHave been spending the last five or so hours at the computer getting school stuff done, corresponding with and IMing folks and trying to get my To-Do list into manageable shape.
Yesterday was a rough one. I found out in the morning that one of my students had died of a overdose over the weekend. I may write something about that later. I went to the wake and wound up in tears.
School's gotten revved up pretty quick, largely because it's fairly easy to plan things out with the schedule we have coming up -- this week and next week are regular weeks, then MLK Day, three regular days and exams start on the Friday of that week. Exams the following Monday through Wednesday, a good teacher in-service (visiting museums) on the Thursday and class on Friday.
Looks like a month of SCA stuff.
12th Night, followed by helping a visiting Scadian tour Boston, then King's & Queen's Fencing in Montreal, then Birka.
I am running Information Point at Birka. (I think I have A'isha to blame for that, right Ian?), and if you'd like to volunteer an hour or two, I would love to have you.
More later
