Two days down . . .

OK, after two days, I am feeling pretty good about things. The days are going by quickly, and other than being short six desks and seven textbooks, everything's pretty darn peachy.

I still don't know some of my students very well, but I have maybe 8-10 I've had in the past, and a huge number of little brothers and sisters. All the classes seem into it at this point, although getting them to talk to like getting a dog out of the mud.

Busy weekend . . .

Friday night I will be the "Voice of the Tanners" as our football team hosts St. John's Prep in the season-opener. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcoooooome to Peabody Veterans Memorial High School . . . "

Saturday gets busier every time I look. Things keep popping up.

Sunday, I am teaching two classes -- SCA Geography 101 and Teaching in the SCA -- at Novice Schola this Sunday at Brandeis.

Here is the Class schedule

It's gonna be a great chance to learn neat stuff.

Next Thursday, the Boston Babydolls will be doing a benefit for hurricane survivors. This is the group's first show, and it's a great chance to help. The show is at Axis, and there are more details on the web site.

A joke grabbed from: [livejournal.com profile] st_theodora

"Pope John Paul II gets to heaven.

St. Peter says, "Frankly, you're lucky to be here."

Pope John Paul II says, "Why? What did I do wrong on earth?"

St. Peter says, "God was very angry with your stance on women becoming priests."

Pope John Paul says, "He's mad about THAT?"

St. Peter says, "She's furious."
