I don't know who is supposed to call me when the Snow Day phone tree springs into action, but whoever it was, he didn't call.

The computer in my room is not connecting to the Internet, and it was not snowing too hard, so I didn't plug in downstairs to check, and I headed out. But when I got to the gas station, I heard "Peabody" in the list of cancellations. I grumbled, then went looking for a diner, had breakfast, came home and read the paper, then the Internet.

There is snow-shoveling to be done, then a few errands/schoolwork things. depending on the weather.

I dropped another 4+ pounds from my last weigh-in (about a month ago). I am at 263, which is 15 poiunds down since joining Weight Watchers and 25 down all together.

Tickets for the Dropkick Murphys' St. Patrick's Day Shows go on sale at noon tomorrow (Saturday) at Ticketmaster.

Also, The Pogues at the Orpheum Theatre, March 14. Tickets$39.50-$59.50, on sale Saturday at 10 a.m Ticketmaster, I think.

More later.

Wow! "Whiteout in Waltham"

They blew the forecast again. First, early in the week, the forecast is 1-3 inches, and we get clouds.

Today, the forecast was 3-6 inches. We get the Semi-Blizzard of '05, and thunder.

I am glad I did not have to drive home from Peabody in this.

Recently, in one of my posts, [livejournal.com profile] chaotic_angel and [livejournal.com profile] new_man had a conversation in passing. These are two people whom we just do *not* want conversing, especially about blood stains. And to be honest folks, she scares me more than he does.

If you go to the National Honor Society website . . . you will see a story about my students and a picture of me and them.

At this rate, I won't recognize anyone in the Red Sox infield next season.

I am so pleased that I actually got some school-related work done today.

(Plus I finally got to post from the Mother Ship because I moved her downstairs. Still having issues with the connection in my room. I am just so much more comofrtable with the regular-sized computer).
