A satisfying day . . .
Jan. 16th, 2006 02:01 pmMany thanks to the folks who decided Martin Luther King deserved a national holiday.
I do agree with them, and I will spend some time tonight listening to his speeches.
But in general, I just cherish the extra day off.
It should be a pretty good week. Finish up a last chapter, then review for exams. Give an exam Friday, then review fo rthe other classes.
Next week, exams the first three days, then the third quarter starts. (Halfway home).
I will post about Arisia later. (Yes,
rufinia, you certainly can post about 12th Night).
So far today:
1. Got enough writing done on my Teachers-As-Writers Fellowship project that I can send it to my colleages and prepare for them to go over it thoroughly Saturday.
2. Did laundry last night and put most of it away today.
3. Cleaned the bathroom and mopped the kitchen.
4. Pulled together a bunch of stuff I need to drop off for my errand-running this afternoon.
5. Did a decent amount of school-related stuff.
Coming up for the rest of the afternoon.
1. The afore-mentioned erranding.
2. Pick up
evilnicola and return her to college. (I really enjoyed the time I got with her this week).
3. More of the afore-mentioned writing and school-related stuff.
I will be on AIM and Yahoo, probably from 5 p.m. on if you want to distract me.
Unrelated: The great album title of the year:
Folk Is The New Black
