Thoughts while getting ready to finish writing a test

The Red Sox are 6-1. I never would have expected this. I am patiently waiting for the other shoe to drop.

"Baseball isn't statistics. Baseball is Joe DiMaggio rounding second." -- Jimmy Cannon.

Did you know that the original choice for Dean Wormer in "Animal House" (The Greatest Movie Ever Made (tm) ) was Jack Webb?

I am so glad I did not decide to become a Bruins' or Celtics' fan.

The Spring menu at the Publick House (1648 Beacon Street in Brookline) goes up April 24, but Chef Jimmy says to give 'em a week to get it figured out.

I went to the Publick House the other night and had a Coconut soda. Who wulda thunk?

I am running into way too many people who do not know the proper response to "Rabbit Season!" What is the world coming to.

Listening to Heather Dale, "Call The Names"

I oughta make a macaroni and salami pie soon.

I miss old-time organ music at hockey games.

Yo, [livejournal.com profile] goldsquare, feel better, dude.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] baronessmartha and [livejournal.com profile] pax_industria. You both so fricking rock.

"Istanbul, not Constantinople."

OK, time to work.

The Weiner Dog of Doom!

One of my favorite CDs is Cat Tales: Songs of the Feline Persuasion

It includes Cindy Mangsen's wonderful Rudy's Big Adventure, which chronicles the successful rescue of a cat who gets his head caught in the garbage disposal (while chasing slamn skin).

But the best lyrics are in . . . THE DOG OF TIME )

OK, done

That test is a piece of work!

And I beefed up the Wolrd History quiz, too.

Music so far tonight: Heather Dale, Call The Names; the aforementioned Cat Tales, Dropkick Murphys, the Warriors Code. Next up: Jimmy Buffett, Live At Fenway Park

Two more days of school. Yee-ha. Tests tomorrow, Current events on Thursday.

Anyone wanna do anything Thursday night? (Besides, you, [livejournal.com profile] evilnicola. I know you wanna do something)

Leaving Sunday with six students and two other teachers to build a house for Habitat For Humanity in Johns Island, S.C. We'll be back late Friday.
