Quick Monday afternoon update
Jul. 10th, 2006 05:57 pmTrip report: The trip from Albany to Montreal, to Ottawa, to Toronto, to Albany and back to Waltham covered rouhly 1,390 miles. I drove all but a couple of hundred miles of that, and
alethea_eastrid got a ton of knitting done. It was fabulous. I will post more later.
Great Big Sea concerts: All you really need to know is that they absolutely rocked on Friday in Ottawa, and on Saturday, in Toronto, they were so good my nipples got hard.
New food report: Poutine!!!!!! You can feel your arteries harden just looking at it.
New readers: Big weekend for picking up new folks. I am very excited. Please welcome

By the way,
ogedei, I got a huge kick finding "Win, Place and Show" in Canada. Price was roughly the same as the U.S.
Canadian money is no longer play money. You only get $1.07 Canadian or so for $1.00 U.S. With all the taxes and the higher prices for things like books, it doesn't work. Of course, you get one of the taxes back at the border, but then they have all this cool stuff to buy there. (Sorry, kids, no sortilege).
More later.
