The battle ain't over . . .
Nov. 8th, 2006 03:39 pmA reminder to my fellow Massachusetts residents as we bask in the glow of yesterday's election and wait for Virginia to fall our way, too.
The Legislature will be voting on constitutional amendments tomorrow, and a 25 percent "yes" vote will send the anti-gay marriage amendment to the polls in 2008.
I just sent the following to my state representative and state senator.
I urge you to contact them with your opinion.
Congratulations on another term!
I am hoping you will vote against sending the gay marriage question to referendum tomorrow.
I know it's sorta sneaky to not send it through, but I just survived six months of "selling wine in package stores will destroy the very fabric of our state," and I am not ready for two years of gay-bashing.
I am just being honest.
